Quinn Porter is a litigation associate at Stone LLP, where he has been a invaluable team member since joining the firm as a law clerk in June of 2023. Quinn passed the July 2024 Bar Exam (on the first attempt) and was admitted to practice law in November 2024. Quinn focuses on civil litigation, including business disputes, construction matters and real estate disputes. He has second-chaired three complex trials in his short time as a licensed attorney, demonstrating a remarkable litigation acumen to deliver results for clients.
Quinn brings strong academic credentials and hands-on experience to his clients. He earned his Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law in May of 2024, graduating in the top third of his class and earning a place on the Honor Roll and Dean’s Circle in Fall 2022. During his academic career, Quinn honed his advocacy skills through participation in prestigious moot court competitions, including the John J. Gibbons Moot Court Competition at Seton Hall Law School, the Duke University National Moot Court Competition and the University of Buffalo Moot Court competition (Elliott Stone’s later father, Harry N. Stone, earned his law degree from the University of Buffalo in 1970).
Prior to joining Stone LLP, Quinn gained experience as a law clerk at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office in the writs and appeals division. There, he drafted and edited motions, conducted legal research on criminal law and procedure, and observed trials, building a solid foundation in legal analysis and trial advocacy.
Quinn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Seattle University, where he graduated cum laude in 2021. His competitive spirit and dedication to advocacy was evident early on, as he led his high school’s defense team in the Los Angeles County Mock Trial Competition for three consecutive years.
